Privacy policy.
Last updated 1 November 2026
The short version: I collect only what I need to talk to you and do the work, I don't sell it, and you can ask me to see it, fix it or delete it at any time.
Who I am
AI Business Flywheel is a trading name of Joe Bonington Pty Ltd as trustee for the Joe Bonington Trust, ABN 55 303 396 393, based in Mona Vale, NSW. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" mean that business, and Joe Bonington, who runs it.
I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you have a question about anything here, email joe@aibusinessflywheel.com.
What I collect
- Contact details: your name, email, phone number, business name and role.
- What you tell me about your business: your answers when you book a call or take the Bottleneck Check, and what we talk about on calls.
- Call notes: on a Bottleneck Call, a note-taking tool may transcribe what we say, so I can listen to you instead of writing. More on that below.
- Client work: if you become a client, the business information we need for the work, plus billing details for invoices.
- Emails and messages you send me, and whether you open or click my emails.
I don't ask for health information, and please don't send it. You can browse this site without telling me who you are, and you can ask me general questions without giving your name.
How I collect it
Mostly from you: when you book a call, take the Bottleneck Check, email me, talk to me, or work with me. Sometimes from someone who refers you to me, or from your public business details, such as your website or LinkedIn.
This site doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. The booking calendar is provided by my booking system, which may set cookies it needs to work.
Why I use it
- To book, prepare for and follow up your call.
- To answer your questions and send you what you asked for.
- To deliver, invoice and support the work if you become a client.
- To send occasional emails or texts about my work, which you can stop at any time.
- To run my business properly, including keeping records the law requires.
I don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and I never will.
Call notes and AI
On a Bottleneck Call, I use Granola, a note-taking tool, to transcribe the conversation. I'll tell you at the start of the call. If you'd rather it didn't run, just say so and I'll switch it off. It makes no difference to the call.
I use Claude, from Anthropic, on a paid plan that doesn't train on your data, to help me draft documents and follow-up emails from my notes. I read and check everything before it goes to you. A person always makes the decisions.
Software helps me in two ways. Your Bottleneck Check answers are scored, and the score decides which result email you get and which questions I start with on our call. And the notes from your call are used to draft my follow-up email, which I read and approve before it's sent. No software decides on its own whether I'll work with you, or what you'll pay.
Who I share it with
Only the services I use to run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- GoHighLevel, for bookings, the Bottleneck Check, my contact records, and email and text messages.
- Granola, for call notes, and Zoom, for video calls.
- Anthropic (Claude), for drafting.
- Zapier, which passes information between these tools.
- Google Workspace, for email and documents.
- Xero, for invoices and accounts.
I may also share information if the law requires it, or with my accountant or legal adviser when needed. If you become a client, nobody who helps me with other work has access to your material.
Information stored overseas
Most of these services store or process information in the United States, and some may use other countries too. I choose established providers with strong security, and I take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information. I stay responsible for how it's handled.
How I keep it safe
Accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and only I can see your information. Client material is kept in accounts and folders set up in the client's name, under the client's control.
If a breach ever put you at risk of serious harm, I'd tell you as soon as I could, and say what I'm doing about it.
How long I keep it
Only as long as I need it. If we talk but don't work together, ask and I'll delete your details. Financial records are kept for five years, because tax law requires it. When I no longer need information, I delete it or remove anything that identifies you. If you're a client, I delete my working copies of your material whenever you ask, during the work or after it.
Emails and texts
Every email and text I send says who it's from and gives you an easy way to stop them: reply and say so, or use the unsubscribe link. I act on it within five working days, and usually much sooner.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your information
You can ask to see what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email joe@aibusinessflywheel.com. I'll reply within 30 days, and there's no charge. If I can't do what you ask, for example because the law says I must keep a record, I'll tell you why.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, email me first and I'll reply within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
Australian privacy law is changing, and I'll update this policy when it does, or when the way I work changes. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
